We learned how to correctly structure a piece of report writing. We wrote a report about the Maui Dolphin.
Here is my report:
The Maui Dolphin is a small mammal with a very big brain. This dolphin is only found in New Zealand. They can't hold their breath for long, so they live in shallow water.
The Maui Dolphin is grey with black patches.Underneath they are white. Their fins are short and round; kind of looking like Mickey Mouse ears.
The Maui Dolphin enjoys playing and surfing. They also enjoy blowing bubbles and eating fish. They love to swim in shallow water but cannot swim backwards.
Did you know that Maui Dolphins have lungs and not gills? They can live for up to twenty years. Sadly, these creatures are endangered. That means that there are not many of these animals left and might become extinct. I think that we need to take good care of these dolphins to make sure that they are still around in the future.
