ANZAC Wreath

With help from the awesome Mrs Gray, we created a poppy wreath to show our respect for the soldiers that fought for our freedom in WWI and WWII. A couple of us will represent Space 15 at the dawn parade in Rotorua and take this wreath along.

Bug Parade

We had lots of fun creating our creature and critter masks for the school-wide bug parade. We were a little bit nervous about doing a cat walk, but once we got up on stage, we owned the spotlight!

Minion of the Week (Week 10, Term 1)

Our Minion of the week is Layne. Layne has tried really hard to finish all of his work to a really high standard. Well done for being an excellent role model mate (and being the first boy to win Minion of the week)

Monday Morning

In writing today we wrote to describe how we felt about Monday mornings. This is my work below:

Still tired from the weekend I slowly open my eyes to find that my light is, my blanket off, and Mum standing at the side of my bed. "Wake up Zeke and get ready" she says. I moan and force myself to get up. I start eating a big, yuck bowl of porridge with my eyes half open. After working my hardest to finish eating, I realise that there is still work to do. Six long hours. I moaned.

Reading- The Life of A Gecko

In reading the Smurfs have been learning all about the special things Geckos can do. We summarised these features by writing a story with us in the shoes of a Gecko. Here is Eric's writing below:

If I was a Gecko, I would escape smelly giants. It is hard work. I mean, I had to grow back like three tails! Fat mice try to eat me but again my tail detaches saving the day. I run like Usain Bolt- which I don't know how it's possible. Time to travel to the swamp. It has water and nothing but relaxing nature.
