Lake Rotorua

This weeks writer of the week goes to Gina Fischer. Below is her descriptive piece on Lake Rotorua. Awesome work Gina!

Candyfloss like clouds drift pass as the lustrous lake pushes the unwanted weed to the shore. Mokoia Island stands stanch and proud of its beautiful features. An odor of sulfur fills my nostrils. Black Swans swim and dive as their elegant feathers reject the water.

The Possum

Our writer of the week this week is Cody Bryson with this awesome recount! :)

"ROFF! ROFF! ROFF!" As Jay barked crazily at the dopey possum and then Jay dragged the possum out of the hollow tree; plucking fur off the possum. At times it looked like Jay had rabies with the possum fur hanging out of her mouth. At one time the possum ran up a y shaped tree and stopped in the crease of the tree. I threw a log at the possum. It dropped five meters down the tree. A while later Jay bit its tail off and we put a log over its throat and suffocated it. Five mins later it was dead.

Mothers Day Poems

This week in class we made a poem to give to our awesome Mums for Mothers Day. We are very lucky to have the Mums we have in our life and this was just a small way we chose to show them how much we cared!
