Made Awards

This year we entered into the Made Awards (a national ICT competition between primary and intermediate schools across New Zealand). We entered into the music video competition and our aim was to show why our school, Kawaha Point, is a great school. I am really proud of the effort our class put into finishing this video as they only had the day before the competition closed to create it, due to different challenges in our path. Well done Space 15!

Field Days Rugby Tournment

Today our team participated in the Rotorua rugby tournament. Our first game was against Lynmore. This was a close game where Lynmore scored an intercept try to win the game. Our next game was against Hurungaterangi. We started this game strong but eventually the opposition tired us down and the game ended in a draw. Our third game we faced Otonga. The boys really came together this game, hungry for their first win, and came away winning 25-0. In our final game we played Western Heights. Western Heights started off strong, going out to a 10-0 lead. However, our team did not give up and fought back to win 15-10. Overall I am very proud of how much our boys have improved as players and was extremely happy with how we ended the season. Well done KPS!

Future vs Now Rugby Game

Today we had our Future (Yr 4 and 5's) vs Now (Yr 6's) rugby game. This was a great opportunity for our young players to show off what they can do. The score was 35-0 to the Now rugby team but the Future team did an amazing job and showed that the future of KPS rugby is in good hands! Great game guys!

Spring

Dear spring How I love the beauty you bring to this world. Trees once died now live. The harsh wind blows like a Jinormas fan but now as weak as a an tiny little ant. The days go past as the days get hotter. Let me ask you this one thing: Are you wanting as to melt like ice in a micro wave for everyone fears you because you melt them to little pieces

Spring

Easy Blog Photo
In my opinion spring is a ok season First the flowers they bloom in the spring time and the trees they get there leafs back like they're reborn again Secondly in spring it's beautiful outside to play games like tag , go to the park and more plus kids need to go out more because we all go on our phones to much Next the pollen it's one of the bad things about spring because to much pollen gives hay fever to people Finally winter sports are over "NOOOO" B-ball is over. My favourite sport spring you egg. "Bring back winter bring back winter" From the reason above spring is a ok season we have flowers and trees , good outside weather and the bad thing winter sports are over and pollen giving hay fever to people

Shondivo's Post on Wednesday, 10 September 2014

Dear Spring Your beauty blooms so elegantly like a flower floating in a lake. The beauty comes back from the journey of doom. The snow has melted from the blazing heat. Animals prance around enjoying the heat on there back Let me ask you one thing: Are you ready to get taken over by summer. I fear that your beautiful flowers are not going to survive.

Dear spring Your wonderful bloss fulled flowers spread until the summer plaue will wipe your spring flowers.I will take vengeance on you for ruining my winter sports season. I will call 0800 560 942 or summer to destroy your toxic flowers.Your flowers will burn to a size of a potato chip.Summer will knock down the door and rescue winter. This has only began...... Visit from Sarah Cowley

Today we were very privileged to have Sarah Cowley, a New Zealand Olympian in High Jump, come and talk to our school. It was awesome to hear how she overcame struggles and reached her dreams. Our sports talent time group was even lucky enough to have a one on one session with her to learn how we too can become successful with our talents.
